Frontline Business Mechanic

25 years of experience in Shell oil and gas company. Has been assigned various positions in the company covering end to end distribution chain operations - scheduling for bulk products and packaging, tanker operations, tank farm operations, stock clerk, general clerk, operations supervisor, warehouse supervisor, material handling supervisor, Customer Relationship Executive, Head of Customer Service and Fleet Operations, Delivery Executive, Executive Operations Supervisor and Jetty.

As a frontline operator, he has played a key role in providing the process and system inputs for the establishment of the company's Malaysia CSC (Customer Service Centre) by providing a process flow chart for Best In Class customer service as he created for the work site at Tg Gelang Installation. He also handled safety and quality projects which included Hazard and Impact Management Process First and HSSE Cases for Malaysia Depots and Downstream Bases. Has contributed in assisting HSSE advisors in developing the Permit to Work System for Depots and Downstream Bases. He was a member of the BLADE 15 project team, an upstream oil and gas project for process flow and upgrading standards and procedures. He was also the team leader on the waste management project which was awarded the Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award in 1999. Worked with the blending and production teams from 2007 to 2011 at Shell Lubricants Supply Chain, ensuring quality products reach customers at the right time, right place, right quantity & condition, in a safe manner.

He is the operational support for the company’s retail and marketing teams, working together to solve customer problems. Appointed as the secretary for Depot and Sales Meetings for 15 years, excelling in providing best in class customer service. Through the Enterprise Project (Customer Service Project) as a team leader, a customer service at Pasir Gudang Installation , was shared with all depots across Malaysia and his slide presentation was taken to Australia to initiate the Enterprise Project there.

Hauliers under his watch, guidance and coaching achieved the Most Promising Prospect Award and became the first haulier in Southeast Asia to achieve semi-professional status in 2005.

Being the chief transport auditor from 2007 to 2008, he developed many FMCG and fuel haulers. During this year, he was also trained by a professional supply chain consultant from Australia, Jack Williams to manage the Shell Lubricants Supply Chain business in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.

With 25 years of experience and knowledge in turning around Oil and Gas companies, he decided to quit his job and help Small and Medium Enterprises in Malaysia to become self-reliant.
